Communications Connections Ministry
Dear Friends,
COVID-19 has required us to re-imagine our church lives during this time of physical separation. Our last worship service together physically was over two months ago. Since then, God’s faithfulness has unleashed the creativity of the Saint George’s community. Our weekly online worship offerings give us the opportunity to experience common worship while being physically separated. Our virtual house churches have created a space where small groups can meet online to discuss their joys and challenges, read Scripture, and pray together. Our Food Pantry continues to operate, which allows us to take the Church into the world.
We are excited to share with you our newest means to strengthen the life of Saint George’s during this time: The Community Connections Ministry, led by Elliott Branch and Jessica West. A number of Saint Georgians have volunteered to reach out to all the members of the parish, to see how people are coping with the challenges that stem from COVID-19, and to see if the Saint George’s community can support members with meals or essential errands. Lindsay Stoudt is leading this “Helping Hands” ministry (formerly Meatloaf Ministry). We are deeply grateful to Joan Pepin for her many years of faithful service leading the Meatloaf Ministry! She has truly been Jesus’ hands and heart in this world.

We hope you’ll pick up the phone when a member of the Community Connections Ministry calls. This is a great opportunity to greet an old friend or make a new one.
If you do not receive a call, please let us know! That means we do not have your contact information. Please email Bob Clarke at bclarkeva@verizon.net.
Yours in Christ,
