Much to Celebrate
Dear Friends,
We are having such lovely fall weather. The cool breeze is a wonderful reminder of God’s call to us to be continually renewed and refreshed.
We have a lot of new things to celebrate at Saint George’s. First and foremost is the call of our new Associate Rector, the Rev. Crystal Hardin. We are so blessed to have Crystal joining us and we will welcome her, along with her family, this Sunday. Crystal will be preaching and I hope you will come to virtual coffee hour at 11:30 to add your greeting.
The second new thing to look forward to is the opportunity for outdoor worship, beginning October 4th. The details are still being worked out, so more to come next week. Our on-line services will continue as usual.
Many thanks to all of you who completed the survey last week and to our regathering committee for all of their thoughtful work.
I look forward to being with you in virtual church on Sunday and leave you with a portion of the psalm appointed for Sunday.
Give thanks to the Lord and call upon his Name;
make known his deeds among the peoples.
Sing to him, sing praises to him,
and speak of all his marvelous works.
Glory in his holy Name;
let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice.
Search for the Lord and his strength;
continually seek his face.
Yours in Christ,
Shearon+
