Reopening

Dear Friends,

I am continually amazed at the strength and resilience of our community and I am very grateful for each of you.  So much creativity has come forth since we began our Coronavirus journey over 3 months ago.  On-line services and Zoom small group meetings have been such a good way for us to  stay connected during this time.  We will continue on-line worship even after we are able to gather in person.

Sometime in the next few months, we will begin regathering.  The vestry has formed a regathering committee to develop a plan for when and how we can do that safely.  There will be more to come in the next month.  Whenever we are able to worship and meet in person again, things will look and feel different, but I have no doubt that Saint Georgians’ resilience will continue to shine forth.

Our diocesan guidelines are detailed below.

One of the things that I hear from so many of you is how much you appreciate seeing so many different people in our worship services.  It's great to celebrate the diversity of our community in this way and to be thankful for the unity we share in Christ.  I am especially grateful to Dr. Ben Keseley for his masterful compilation of our on-line services.  Ben is such a wonderful Minister of Music and we now have the added blessing of his artistry in creating worship videos.   He is the “go to” person for so many churches as they learn how to do this.  The superb quality of his work is a tremendous gift to us as well as to the larger Church.

This time is so challenging and I know that many of us are weary,  but there truly are blessings everywhere if we have eyes to see and ears to hear.  God is very much at work giving us strength for the journey and a spirit of gratitude for the new discoveries we make along the Way.

I look forward to being with you in virtual church this Sunday!

Yours in Christ,
Shearon+
